Maj. Gen. (Res.) Yoav Gallant
Knesset Member Maj. Gen. Yoav Gallant, Minister of Construction and Housing:
Served 35 years in the IDF as commander of Shayetet 13- Israeli Navy SEALs; Commander of the Gaza Division; Military Secretary to late Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and commander of the Southern Command. Following his release, he managed an Oil and Gas exploration company while deepening his involvement in the Israeli society- founding the Impact foundation, chairing the Friends of the IDF Disabled Veterans Foundation, and serving as a Board Member of the HaShomer Hachadash movement.
Following a rich military career, Maj. Gen. Gallant chose to pursue his Zionist mission by joining the ‘Kulanu’ party in 2015. Following the 2015 Elections, he was appointed as Minister of Construction and Housing and as member of the Security Cabinet.
Minister Gallant holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Haifa and is a Harvard Business School AMP graduate
