Eitan Ben David

Apr – Aug 2017- Acting  National Security Advisor and Head of the National Security Council

 2012-2017 - Deputy Head of the National Security Council and Director of the Counter Terrorism Bureau.

Prior to his appointment. Mr. Ben David held a variety of senior positions in the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), where he served for 26 years.

Among his positions at the I.S.A:

2010-2012 - Deputy Head of the Protection and Security Division.

2006-2010 - Head of the Dignitary Protection Unit.

2005-2006 - Deputy Head of the Aviation Security Division (EL-AL).

2002-2005 - Regional Security Director for Europe (stationed in Vienna).

1999-2002 - Head of the Operations Department.

1996-1998 - Head of Intelligence Branch.  

Mr. Ben David is a graduate of the I.S.A (Shin-Bet) Senior Course.

Mr. Ben David holds a B.A degree in Middle East Studies and Geography from Tel-Aviv University and an M.A in Public Administration from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center.

Mr. Ben-David was born in 1963; he is married and has 3 children.
